Kris has been gaming for 20+ years and learned how to paint D&D models in 2005 from his wife, Lynn. He’s our airbrush expert; he has taken some classes and watched numerous videos to hone his skills.

On the tabletop, he plays Dark Angels, Drukhari, or Khorne, in 40k, and Daughters of Khaine, Stormcast Eternals, Beastmen, or Blades of Khorne in Age of Sigmar. According to him, “I paint more than I play, and I’m a ‘try hard’ that is pretty good at crunching numbers.”

Back when X-Wing was in 1.0, Kris played Empire and Scum, but had the Rebel ships and flew them a few times too. If he were to get back into 2.0, he would play Empire, First Order, and Scum. He always enjoyed the angry Jedi. It’s part of what drew him to Khorne in 40k and AoS.

Lynn F.

  • Model assembly and painting
  • Webmaster
  • Social media manager

Lynn comes from a 30+ year miniature tabletop gaming background going all the way back to 1st edition Dungeons and Dragons. She shared her love of painting miniatures with her husband Kris early in their relationship, teaching him her own self-taught techniques for painting the metal (previously lead) D&D models that were sold at the time.

She resisted joining Kris in Warhammer gaming for two years – until he purchased the Dark Imperium box set and she spotted the wretched (-ly beautiful) Death Guard. From that moment, she loved all things Nurgle. Her WH armies have since expanded to Slaanesh and Black Legion (she loves Chaos, what can we say?), and the Adepta Sororitas on the Imperium side.

Everchosen Award Open category 3rd place

In 2019, Lynn entered the Games Workshop Everchosen Global painting competition at the local GW shop with one of her prized models, Mortarion. She took 3rd place in the Open category.
